Way too good.
Second Chances
It is funny to me how one event in your life can completely change your outlook on life. From the way I treat people to the way I love people. I feel like I have constantly taken for granted all that God has given me while I have selfishly been enjoying my independence in college. One event, one occurrence, made me realize how ungrateful I have been for the life placed in front of me. I have been blessed with supportive and giving parents but most of all I was blessed with ones that love me eternally. My parents have proved to be not only wonderful parents but my best friends and biggest fans. Never have I had greater fear then watching one of them so helpless and so vulnerable. I can still see it all so clearly, as if I had been watching it from the outside, like a horror movie. Every conversational irony of the day taunts my thoughts. The only thing that keeps me together is knowing you are okay in the midst of the chaos in our heads. What a haunting experience it was. Never have I completely grasped the idea of life, until now. We are not put on this earth to earn lots of money or to dress ourselves to oblivion just to be perceived as perfect to the world around you. We are put here not only to serve the Lord but we are placed here for the impact we have on another individuals life. The interactions we have with people are everything. If you are so stuck on hate and greed you will never get the true opportunity to realize what loving someone is like. Loving someone with everything you have is probably the hardest thing to experience. Its almost like a stabbing pain in the middle of your chest whenever you think about it. Not because loving someone is horrible but for the sheer fact you cant imagine life without them there in that moment. It is also the greatest blessing God has given you; the ability to love one another. I feel like we were given a second chance, a chance to live differently and live passionately. Life is too short, so live it like each day is your last and spend more time loving. Just be kind to everyone you come in contact with, no matter who it may be. You would be surprised how much brighter you could make someones day.
